Menzerna Final Polish ll is the same finishing polish used by Mercedes Benz in Germany.
This polish can be used after compounding or anytime as a preparatory step to waxing. Menzerna Final Polish II removes old wax, minor spider webbing and creates a clean, smooth, highly reflective surface.
Final Polish II contains no wax, glaze, fillers or silicones. Minor spider webbing is removed, not just covered-up. Paint gloss is improved by polishing the surface to a micro-smooth, highly reflective finish, not by adding a glaze of silicone oils.
Final Polish II accomplishes this with micro-fine, precision milled, mineral abrasives, not with strong solvent cleaners. Menzerna Final Polish II is a water-based polish, safe for fresh paint or factory cured paint with or without a clear coat. It will not affect the curing process of new paint and will not create swirls. Used after compounding, Final Polish II will completely remove compounding haze (surface dullness) and restore a high gloss, swirl-free finish.
Final Polish II restores gloss to black and red finishes without creating polishing lines. This is a true, professional, finishing polish. Most domestic polishes hide minor swirls with fillers and increase surface gloss with gloss agents. Menzerna Final Polish II removes fine swirls (when applied by machine) and creates gloss the old-fashioned way, by burnishing the surface to a mirror-like finish.
Menzerna designed this polish to be applied with an orbital polisher or a high-speed rotary polisher, but it can be applied by hand. For best results, always work in a shaded area, out of direct sunlight.
Available in a 16 oz size for the enthusiast and 32 oz. for the professional. Made in Germany.
Applying Final Polish by Hand:Mist a Terry or Microfiber Applicator Pad with water or any quick-detail spray and apply a quarter-size amount of polish.
Work on an area of about 2 square feet. Using a circular or back-and-forth motion, wipe polish over the area with a firm pressure until almost dry.
Wipe off polishing residues with a damp Terry or Microfiber cloth. Continue polishing in 2 square foot sections until the entire panel or vehicle is done. Follow with your favorite wax or paint sealant.
Applying Final Polish with an Orbital Polisher:
Place a foam polishing pad on the backing plate and attach to your machine polisher.
Work on a small area, 18 to 24 inches square, out of direct sunlight.
Apply two, 8 inch lines of Final Polish directly to the surface.
Mist the polishing pad very lightly with water.
With the machine off, spread the polish over the surface using the foam pad. This coats the polishing pad and the surface with product.
Press the polishing pad against the paint and turn the machine on. If using the Porter Cable 7424 polisher, set the speed dial between 3-1/2 and 4.
Work the pad over the surface in a figure 8 pattern. Go over the area in a left-to-right figure 8 pattern and then an up-and-down figure 8 pattern.
Wipe off polishing residue with a damp Terry or Microfiber cloth and inspect the surface. Is the surface still dull? Have all the swirls been removed? If the surface is still dull or if swirls remain, repeat the polishing and inspection procedure until gloss is restored and swirls are removed or until no further improvement can be observed.
When the surface is as defect-free as you can make it, continue to the next 2 square foot area and repeat the procedure until the entire panel or vehicle is finished.
Finish with your favorite wax or paint sealant.
Detailing Tip: If the paint damage will not correct, use Menzerna Intensive Polish, followed by the Final Polish.
